Rule on la­bel­ing of green prod­ucts

The State Coun­cil re­cently is­sued a guide­line on green­prod­uct la­bel­ing. Ac­cord­ing to the doc­u­ment, a uni­form sys­tem on the stan­dards, au­then­ti­ca­tion and la­bel­ing of green prod­ucts will be es­tab­lished by 2020. By then, all the prod­ucts la­beled “green” will fol­low the same stan­dards and get au­then­ti­ca­tion from the same agency. The State Coun­cil, the Cab­i­net, passed a draft of a re­vised law on pre­ven­tion and con­trol of wa­ter pol­lu­tion at an ex­ec­u­tive meet­ing, presided over by Pre­mier Li Ke­qiang, on Dec 8.
