Bell He­li­copter to build assem­bly line in China

US air­craft pro­ducer Bell He­li­copter will build a he­li­copter assem­bly line in Xi’an, cap­i­tal of north­west China’s Shaanxi province, lo­cal au­thor­i­ties said on Satur­day. The project, with a to­tal in­vest­ment of 5.3 bil­lion yuan ($767 mil­lion), will be lo­cated in Xi’an na­tional civil aerospace in­dus­trial base, ac­cord­ing to the agree­ment con­cluded on Fri­day be­tween Bell and Shaanxi Avi­a­tion In­dus­try De­vel­op­ment, a sub­sidiary of Shaanxi En­ergy Group. The project in­cludes an assem­bly line for Bell 407GXP he­li­copters, a cen­ter for he­li­copter train­ing, emer­gency re­sponse and res­cue, as well as re­search and de­vel­op­ment re­lated to drones.
