Toxic liquor claims at least 26 lives

At least 26 people were killed and several others were unconscious after consuming toxic liquor during Christmas in Pakistan’s east Toba Tek Singh district over the last two days, local media reported on Tuesday. More than 50 residents in Mubarakbad area at the district consumed home-brewed liquor on Sunday night and ended up in hospital on Monday after suffering stomach problem, Dunya TV reported, adding that the dead included 24 Christians and two Muslims.
