Leader urges advisers to offer more advice

President Xi Jinping has called on political advisers to ramp up efforts to perform their political duties in 2017 and provide more advice and suggestions on State affairs. Xi made the remark on Friday at a New Year gathering held by the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He asked political advisers to do more research, carry out more consultation on State affairs, and provide more effective solutions in line with the best interests of the people. Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the meeting.
