Singles in East China’s Jiangxi province are the most pressured by their parents to get married, according to the 2016 Dating and Marriage Report released by online dating website Shijijiayuan. The report shows that nearly 60 percent of single men and half of single women have been pushed by their parents to get married, and the figure has nearly doubled compared with 2015. Women who are highly cultured and steeped in propriety are most favored by men, while family-oriented and considerate men are most favored by women. On the flip side, being too focused on money, making problems out of nothing and narrow-mindedness in women are top three characteristics that are hated by men. Being stingy, haggling over every ounce, having feminine qualities and narrow-mindedness are the top four traits that women dislike in men.
