Illegal immigrants arrested by police

More than 1,200 illegal immigrants have been captured by police in Hong Kong and Guangdong province since Spring Festival. A total of 1,178 people, all nationals of Southeast Asian countries, were arrested for trying to enter Guangdong without legal permits, border police said on Thursday. Another 48 were captured in Hong Kong.
