Urumqi’s International Grand Bazaar, which opened in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on April 1, is attracting a record number of tourists. Nearly 80,000 people have already visited the 100,000square-meter bazaar. Xinjiang is a core area on the Silk Road Economic Belt, part of the Belt and Road Initiative. The bazaar mainly showcases local specialties.
