An art ex­hi­bi­tion themed on the Belt and Road Ini­tia­tive kicked off at the Palace Mu­seum in Bei­jing on July 6. The ex­hi­bi­tion has more than 40 works of art on dis­play by 10 fa­mous con­tem­po­rary Chi­nese painters, such as Liu Dawei, Jiang Wei and Zhang Fux­ing. The works de­pict sev­eral Chi­nese styles, in­clud­ing land­scapes, flow­ers and birds, and fig­ures. The gi­ant paint­ing

is one of the most eye-catch­ing items: it is 80 me­ters in length and 1.9 me­ters wide, cre­ated by sev­eral artists. The ex­hi­bi­tion also show­cases sketches and paint­ings of the land­scape of coun­tries in­volved in the ini­tia­tive.
