Hoh Xil named World Her­itage site

Hoh Xil was put on the pres­ti­gious World Her­itage List as a nat­u­ral site at the 41st ses­sion of the World Her­itage Com­mit­tee in Krakow, Poland, on Fri­day. So far, China has 51 sites on the list. Hoh Xil, an iso­lated re­gion in the north­west­ern part of the Qing­haiTi­bet Plateau, cov­ers an area of 3.7 mil­lion hectares, mak­ing it the largest among the 51 sites.
