Agency plans briefing on the status of medical reform

The National Health and Family Planning Commission will brief the media in Beijing on Monday on the status of medical reform. The program aims to provide universal coverage of basic healthcare. In 2009, the State Council, China’s Cabinet, unveiled a plan to extend healthcare to every citizen by 2020.
