Alves eyes piece of Paris history
Brazil international Dani Alves said on Wednesday the prospect of “making history” by winning the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain factored into his decision to join the French heavyweight.
Alves was unveiled as the club’s second signing of the summer after inking a twoyear deal on a free transfer following his exit from Juventus last month.
The move is a blow to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who wanted to bring 34year-old Alves to the Premier League. Guardiola managed him at Barcelona, where the rightback won three Champions Leagues and six Spanish league titles.
