Kolarov quits City for Roma

Serbia international defender Aleksandar Kolarov became the fourth fullback to leave Manchester City this summer when he completed a permanent switch to Serie A Roma on Saturday.

Kolarov, 35, joins fellow fullbacks Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta in leaving City since the end of last season.

The move is expected to pave the way for a swoop for Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy while Danilo is set to also join City from Real Madrid.
