Defense helps China claim bronze

China defeated South Korea 75-51 in the Women’s Basketball Asian Cup in Bengaluru, India, on Saturday, to take third place in the tournament.

Watched by former NBA superstar and Chinese basketball chief Yao Ming, China led 20-19 after the first quarter, then held off the determined South Koreans with tough defense, led by Shen Yi and Li Yueru.

Japan won the tournament with a 74-73 victory over Australia on Saturday.
