Yellow alert issued for rain

The National Meteorological Center issued a yellow alert for rainstorms on Wednesday, as heavy rain is expected in most of North China and some areas in the south over the next 24 hours. Precipitation will reach up to 180 millimeters in northwestern and southeastern Shandong province, northeastern Hebei province and western Liaoning province, the center said.
