Heritage:

Well-preserved Buddhist murals and clay sculptures from the Ming Dynasty (13681644) were recently discovered at a Tibetan lama temple in Sichuan province, providing rich research materials pertaining to Tibetan Buddhism. The murals with their unique local techniques, radiant colors, smooth lines, elegant decorations and compact layout, highlight the unique approach to art during the dynasty. The temple was built in 1269.
