QR codes to help dementia suffers
A total of 1.5 million positioning QR codes were donated to China Population Welfare Foundation to help prevent old people with senile dementia from being lost. Zhu Zonghan, founder of Shanghai Iword Network Technology Co Ltd, manufacturer of the code, said if an old man was lost, the passersby can scan the code printed on his clothes, which was linked to his personal information, and send the location to their family members through its application or short messages. The company also donated 100,000 yuan ($14,900) to support the project.
