Doc­u­men­tary on wartime sex slaves opens on Mon­day An­nual aca­demic rank­ings to be re­leased on Tues­day

The first doc­u­men­tary film on Chi­nese vic­tims of Ja­panese wartime sex slav­ery —

— will hit Chi­nese screens on Mon­day. Di­rected by Guo Ke, it records the daily lives of 22 sur­viv­ing vic­tims of sex slav­ery and their mem­o­ries of World War II. Shang­hai Jiao Tong Uni­ver­sity will re­lease its Aca­demic Rank­ing of World Uni­ver­si­ties on Tues­day. Since 2003, the rank­ings have gained pres­tige, list­ing the world’s top 500 uni­ver­si­ties an­nu­ally, based on a set of in­di­ca­tors and third-party data. It is cur­rently rec­og­nized as a re­li­able gauge of the qual­ity of uni­ver­si­ties around the world. More than 1,000 uni­ver­si­ties are eval­u­ated.
