Documentary on wartime sex slaves opens on Monday Annual academic rankings to be released on Tuesday

The first documentary film on Chinese victims of Japanese wartime sex slavery —

— will hit Chinese screens on Monday. Directed by Guo Ke, it records the daily lives of 22 surviving victims of sex slavery and their memories of World War II. Shanghai Jiao Tong University will release its Academic Ranking of World Universities on Tuesday. Since 2003, the rankings have gained prestige, listing the world’s top 500 universities annually, based on a set of indicators and third-party data. It is currently recognized as a reliable gauge of the quality of universities around the world. More than 1,000 universities are evaluated.
