Husband dies in cesspit tragedy, wife survives

A man in Mianxian county died in a cesspit while looking for a missing pig this month. He passed out after climbing into the pit at about 11:50 am. His wife attempted to rescue him, but was quickly overwhelmed by the fumes. Rescuers pulled the wife to safety first and sent her to hospital, where she made a full recovery. The husband was already dead by the time rescuers were able to recover his body.
