-

Dozens of police and soldiers have been killed in a wave of Taliban attacks on checkpoints in Kandahar province, officials said on Tuesday, as insurgents step up assaults on the beleaguered security forces. Matiullah Helal, acting provincial police spokesman, said 22 police were killed and at least 15 others were wounded when insurgents stormed various security posts in two districts on Monday night. three-judge panel of the San Francisco-based 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals partially granted a Trump administration request to block at least temporarily a judge’s ruling that had put the new ban on hold. Trump’s ban was announced on Sept 24 and replaced two previous versions that had been impeded by federal courts.
