Successful test of Su-57 engine

Russia’s fifth-generation stealth fighter Su-57, formerly known as T-50, completed its first test flight with a newgeneration engine, Tass news agency reported on Wednesday. The 17-minute maiden flight took off on Tuesday from the Gromov Flight Research Institute in Zhukovsky, 40 kilometers southeast of Moscow. The Sukhoi Company, which developed the stealth fighter, has since 2010 tested nine prototypes.
