Sixers’ Embiid injures his shooting hand

Philadelph­ia center Joel Embiid injured his right hand going after an inbounds pass in the fourth quarter of the 76ers’ 123-110 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night.

Embiid (pictured) had X-rays taken and his shooting hand wrapped in ice after the game but said he thinks he will be fine.

“They said it wasn’t broken. They think it was sprained, so I guess that’s good news,” Embiid said.

Embiid had 22 points and nine rebounds in 31 minutes on Sunday. The play in which he was hurt happened with 3:54 left in the game, and he was called for a loose ball foul after hitting the floor. Hebei China Fortune loanee Hernanes on a permanent deal, according to the Brazilian club’s football director, Ricardo Rocha. Hernanes rejoined his original club in July on a 12-month loan but the Chinese Super League side has the option of ending the deal on Dec 31.

“The most important thing is that Hernanes stays,” Rocha told SporTV. “He is fundamenta­l and has given us a greater quality both on and off the pitch.”

Hebei China Fortune signed Hernanes from Italy’s Juventus on a three-year deal in January. The midfielder’s career has also included spells at Lazio and Inter Milan. played just twice in La Liga for Alaves since joining in July after three years of success with Real Madrid’s B team.

Alaves thanked the player for his “great willingnes­s and work ethic over the past few months” on its website.

Enzo posted a photo of himself on Instagram on Saturday on vacation in Dubai with his family but made no mention to his one million followers about the move.
