Boy, 12, takes stolen car for spin

A 12-year-old boy stole a car and drove it more than 100 kilometers from Dongyang to Zhuji on Jan 1, hitting several other vehicles along the way. A martial arts coach, surnamed Zhang, discovered his car had been stolen when traffic police informed him that it had been damaged in a collision with another vehicle in a secondhand bazaar. The boy, a student in Zhang’s kung fu training center, took his car keys without him knowing. The boy’s parents agreed to pay more than 12,000 yuan ($1,850) in compensation to Zhang for damage to the car.
