Futian has new Party chief
Lu Yuyin, former Party boss of Pingshan District in Shenzhen, was appointed Futian District’s Party chief on June 13.
Lu, born in November 1970, received a doctoral degree in economics at Tianjin Municipality’s Nankai University and started work at the General Office of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC in July 1998.
He was head of the Longgang District Government between September 2015 and June 2016, and had led the Pingshan Party committee since June 2016.
Speaking after his new appointment, Lu said Futian has become Shenzhen’s center of administration, finance, culture, commerce, trade and international exchanges through 28 years of development.
In recent years, Futian has focused on high-quality development, aimed at becoming a model district for modern socialist construction. The district has set the direction for developing “Finance + Science + Culture” and sped up the development of the Lok Ma Chau Loop area in cooperation with Hong Kong, as well as the Xiangmihu area, as it strives to become a pioneering district for modern industries in the Guangdong-Hong KongMacao Greater Bay Area.
Lu said he would “liberate his mind” and be courageous, pioneering and innovative in his work by taking advantage of the strategic opportunities arising from the development of the Guangdong-Hong KongMacao Greater Bay Area and guiding Futian in continuing its high-quality development in the new era.
Futian’s new Party leader also vowed to prioritize improving the people’s wellbeing, education, public services, traffic, water quality and the environment of urban villages by pushing forward the building of a garden city.
