Trademarks help combat poverty
Southwest China’s Sichuan province released a guideline to create the Sichuan poverty alleviation public welfare collective trademark. It plans to register the trademark by the end of this year. Products produced in poverty-stricken counties or made from raw materials in those areas can use the trademark. The provincial government will provide financial, tax, transportation and personnel training support to businesses that sell products with the trademark, said an official at the province’s poverty alleviation and immigration bureau.
