Unified online government service

-

According to media reports, the Beijing government is to launch a check on the online government services it provides and establish unified standards for its online government services before the end of this year.

It is expected Beijing will establish a linked and collaborative Internet Plus government service system by 2020.

Many local authorities provide online services, with the aim of improving efficiency and bringing convenience to all the citizens without distinction. But a prominent problem is that many online government services lack unified standards.

Standardizing online government services has become an urgent task so that the people can truly enjoy “one-network-wide” convenience.

The obvious feature of internet services is that they can achieve indiscriminate coverage for different groups of people and make the provision of government services standardized.

The Beijing municipal authority requires departments to further streamline administration in terms of online government service, and to work together to reduce similar or repetitive administrative documents and improve the efficiency of government services.

Unifying online government services will continue to promote the decentralization of power and the streamlining of bureaucracy and thus benefit people and enterprises.
