City’s hardworking people tell their inspiring stories

-

A storytelling activity was hosted in the city on Sept 7 attended by people working in fields such as education, public security, landscape gardening and sanitation. Eight representatives including Zhao Yan, a young community official, told the audience inspiring stories about their endeavors at work.

At the activity, people from different walks of life expressed gratitude to workers for their contribution to Taiyuan’s development.

It was based on the event launched by Taiyuan in November 2017 in order to communicate new thoughts and ideas to its people.

Its activities discussed standards for people of a “new type”. Keywords around the new standards included confidence, dedication and innovation. Nearly 100,000 people attended more than 1,000 such discussions.

Storytelling activities were also held and more than 4,000 workers told their hardworking stories in 500 such activities. Among them were construction workers, kindergarten teachers, doctors and police.
