Albanian shipments surge last month

Albania’s exports in September increased by 8.7 percent year-on-year and by 28 percent compared with August, Albanian National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) said on Wednesday. According to the latest report from INSTAT, the value of imports in September decreased by 4.7 percent compared with the same period of the previous year and increased by 5.5 percent compared with August 2018. In September, the trade deficit reached the value of 25 billion Albanian lek ($20.3 million), a decrease of 15.6 percent from a year ago.
