A1With the theme of “Connecting People and Possibilities”, the FedEx exhibition focuses on our commitment to connecting the world in resourceful ways and showcases our support for the import trade. It demonstrates FedEx customized shipping solutions including industry solutions for healthcare, e-commerce, and auto parts; features the latest technology; introduces new services that simplify the shipping process including cross-border e-commerce solutions that provide a better experience for importers, and showcases FedEx sustainable development efforts.

A2From the CIIE, FedEx expects to learn more about our customers and the import trade. We want to better understand the products Chinese consumers want and their shipping needs. We also want to better understand importers’ logistics and their shipping requirements. We’re targeting existing and potential customers with international shipping needs, especially the small- and medium-sized companies. They are one of the key drivers of import and export growth around the world.

A3We support the CIIE’s efforts to promote trade liberalization and economic globalization. As an advocate of global trade, FedEx applauds the CIIE’s strategies to help development of the logistics industry in China. FedEx has been in China for more than 30 years, and we’re always looking at ways to enhance services and expand our networks. We’re open to opportunities that can help us meet customers’ needs, particularly in the area of e-commerce, a rapidly growing segment in China and around the globe.

A4We support China’s goal of further opening up its markets. In doing so, it provides broader opportunities for almost all business sectors.

FedEx introduced its international delivery service to the Chinese market in 1984. Now, we operate more than 260 international flights in China per week, through our AsiaPacific Hub at Guangzhou, Guangdong province, and our gateway operations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen in Guangdong.

FedEx is pleased that the Chinese government continues to roll out policies and measures to remove obstacles to economic development and business operations. We have been working with the Chinese customs to expand the FedEx Integrated Customs Clearance service coverage so that more customers can enjoy a fast, convenient, and efficient customs-clearance process.

A5We believe that China’s economy will continue to grow steadily in the upcoming years, particularly as it shifts its focus to growth driven by consumption and innovation. As noted earlier, there are plenty of opportunities in the areas of e-commerce and small and medium businesses.

FedEx is committed to longterm development in China. We want to help businesses in China harness the full potential of global trade opportunities. Therefore, we continue to increase our operational strength and tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of our Chinese customers.
