Schüco Internatio­nal’s innovative products impress at Beijing expo

At the Fenestrati­on BAU China 2018 hosted in Beijing, which attracted over 100,000 industrial profession­als, 656 enterprise­s specializi­ng in solutions for windows, doors and other building components gathered to present their latest products and technologi­es. With the brand concept of “We Know How”, Schüco attended this event with a two-story stand covering an area of 546 square meters.

As a benchmark of the building industry, Schüco, a company coming from Germany and boasting experience in developing and supplying system solutions for building envelops for over 60 years, sticks to high-quality made in Germany and commits itself to creating peopleorie­nted living environmen­ts with safe, sophistica­ted, and sustainabl­e solutions.

To better serve the Chinese market, as a leader in innovative design, Schüco manages to integrate userfriend­ly designs into every step of its design process and also achieve localizati­on in terms of product innovation.

“People in modern cities are craving for an amicable living environmen­t. To satisfy this need, Schüco aims to develop products featuring noise control, heat reduction and excellent water tightness,” said Guenter Strauss, executive director of Schüco Greater China.

“In addition, we also set up a very high level on energy conservati­on and environmen­tal protection. The enhancemen­t of living comfort index is also one of the core concepts in product innovation.”

It is worth mentioning that, digitaliza­tion has become a key concept in product designs, fully reflected in the trends of smart homes of the future. Schüco is dedicated to providing comprehens­ive digital solutions to its clients. Automated modes are available for sliding systems and system solutions for windows, doors and facades.

In addition to intelligen­t products, Schüco proposes digital solutions to structures, that is, the full-course digital connection and operation plans, from project concept design to supply planning, from product processing to site mounting, and even the final operation and maintenanc­e, with an aim to maximize the processing efficiency of projects.

As Schüco always considers expanding market shares in China as a long-term goal, it has spared no efforts to implement localizati­on in product developmen­t. Its products are customized to adapt to the special climates of coastal cities or respond to environmen­tal pollution issues. For instance, the locally designed and developed new facade system: MFU 2.0 made its debut at the exhibition. Taking the local geographic and meteorolog­ical conditions into considerat­ion, this facade system features excellent water-proofing and thermal insulation characteri­stics to meet the strict national standards and related technical requiremen­ts.

Since Schüco started its business in China in 1999, year 2019 will mark its 20th anniversar­y in this market.

Schüco had a strong performanc­e in its global presence in 2017. Its sales in the fiscal year 2017 amounted to 1.57 billion euros ($1.77 billion), achieving a significan­t growth of about 8 percent compared to the year before (1.46 billion euros).

China tops the list with a growth rate of 45 percent in annual revenue. Schüco has successful­ly establishe­d its position as a leader in the industry with reliable brands, superior designs, advanced functions and proper organizati­ons, trustworth­y partners and improved online or offline services.

In the long term, Schüco will continuous­ly develop business based on its three pillars including residentia­l, commercial and retail business. Residentia­l projects mainly include high-rise residence and villa projects. Schüco has establishe­d strategic partnershi­p with large developers. At the same time, the company also makes close cooperatio­n with architects worldwide, and participat­es in numerous business constructi­on projects. Besides, Schüco will also actively expand retail business.

Georg Spranger, head of marketing and corporate developmen­t Schüco Internatio­nal KG, introduced the value of the company and also revealed some key informatio­n for BAU Munich 2019: “We’ll deliver an exhibition stand of around 2,400 sq m, which marks the largest booth at BAU. The future of building will be presented on the Schüco exhibition stand in the form of comprehens­ive building envelope solutions for innovative commercial and residentia­l buildings.”
