Ma Yongsheng to lead Sinopec’s subsidiary

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp, a subsidiary of China’s major petrochemi­cal producer China Petrochemi­cal Corp, or Sinopec Group, appointed Ma Yongsheng as president. He succeeds Dai Houliang who remains the company’s chairman. The company said the reshuffle was due to Dai’s new working arrangemen­t, and the board welcomed Ma to the new position. Ma, 57, is an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineerin­g. Prior, Ma served as vicepresid­ent of Sinopec Group. The board also named senior engineer Lei Dianwu and senior economist Chen Ge as senior vicepresid­ents, effective from Oct 30. Prior, Lei has served vice-president and chief economist of Sinopec.

Li Ling is president of CBRE local unit

Real estate giant CBRE Group Inc named Li Ling as president of its Chinese arm. In the new position, Li will oversee investment­s, capital market operations and consulting. He will report directly to Ben Duncan, president of CBRE’s North Asia operations. As an industry veteran, Li has over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate. Duncan said he appreciate­s Li’s insights into China’s future real estate market, and his plan for the company’s future growth. Duncan also said he believes CBRE China will maintain rapid growth and good interactio­n with clients under Li’s leadership.

Diess gets additional role in VW China

group CEO Herbert Diess as concurrent head of the group’s China management board in addition to his other positions. Volkswagen said in a statement that the appointmen­t was because of the growing importance of the Chinese market and China’s rapid technologi­cal developmen­t. Diess will assume the China role in January when incumbent Jochem Heizmann retires. Stephan Woellenste­in, CEO of Volkswagen China Passenger Cars and executive vice-president of Volkswagen China Investment Co, will be appointed CEO of Volkswagen China.

Jiang Rongfen to nurture Goodbaby

Volkswagen AG named the

Parenting product company Goodbaby Internatio­nal Holdings Ltd named Jiang Rongfen as CEO of its China division. Jiang joined the group in 2016 and has served as general manager of its baby care business and as senior vicepresid­ent. Before joining the group, Jiang had over 15 years of experience in managing Chinese businesses for global apparel brands. Meanwhile, Liang Yizhe resigned from the position of executive board director.

National Offshore Oil names Wang GM

China National Offshore Oil Corp appointed Wang Dongjin as general manager, in addition to his other positions as board director and deputy Party secretary. As an industry veteran, Wang worked in the area for over 30 years, and is experience­d in oil and gas exploratio­n and developmen­t, and overseas business management. Prior, he was the president of PetroChina Co, Ltd, a subsidiary of China’s major oil producer China National Petroleum Corp, and deputy general manager and board director of CNPC.
