Military: PLA Weibo accounts set up

Hundreds of thousands of users on Sina Weibo have followed the two official Weibo accounts registered last week by the People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force. The PLA Rocket Force, formerly the Second Artillery Corps, was establishe­d on Dec 31, 2015, and serves as the strategic and tactical missile force of China. One account shares the same name with the force, while another chose the funnier and more down-to-earth name Dongfeng Kuaidi, which means “Eastwind delivery”.

OGarden Smart is an automated indoor gardening system that lets homeowners grow fresh and fully organic veggies at home easily. Automatic watering makes its operation effortless and the automatic low-energy LEDs simulate sunlight, offering optimal yearround growth. The makers say the rotation of the wheel, the effect of gravity and the lighting can produce stronger, more robust vegetable.

Rankings: Self-made billionair­es listed

With a personal wealth of $65.5 billion, Facebook’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been crowned the wealthiest selfmade

billionair­e under the age of 40, according to the Bloomberg Billionair­es Index. Four Chinese made the top 10, with Huang Zheng ($13.7 billion), chairman and CEO of online discounter Pinduoduo, ranked in second place, followed by Zhang Bangxin ($5.5 billion), CEO of TAL Education Group, in eighth place. Of the 500 people on the index, 41 are from China.

World: Human teeth, bones in jewelry

Jacqui Williams, a 26-year-old jeweler from Melbourne, is using human teeth, hair and animal bones to create unique pieces of jewelry for people. “I stumbled across a community of likeminded people and collectors of curiositie­s and oddities,” she said. “They wanted to give another life to things that once were. This then started the evergrowin­g collection of bones and oddities of my own.” Williams said she’s had many bizarre requests, and she tries to fill as many orders as she possibly can.
