Unemployment rises slightly

Taiwan’s unemployment rate was 3.92 percent last month, up 0.08 percent fromMay and 0.21 percent higher than the same month in 2015, according to the island’s statistical agency on Friday. There were around 459,000 unemployed people on the island at the end of June, compared with 11.3 million employed. The island’s consumer price index, a gauge of inflation, increased 0.34 percent in June from the month before.
