Pres­i­dent Xi Jin­ping will at­tend a se­ries of meet­ings prior to, dur­ing and af­ter the G20 sum­mit.

Pres­i­dent’s G20 sched­ule PRIOR TO THE SUM­MIT

Xi will de­liver a keynote ad­dress at the open­ing cer­e­mony of the B20 busi­ness fo­rum on Sept 3. Lead­ers of some G20 mem­bers, guest coun­tries and in­ter­na­tional or­ga­ni­za­tions will at­tend the fo­rum.


Xi will pre­side over and chair more than 10 events, in­clud­ing the wel­com­ing and open­ing cer­e­monies, five key sec­tion meet­ings and the clos­ing cer­e­mony. The sum­mit will bring to­gether lead­ers from the G20, as well as guest coun­tries and in­ter­na­tional or­ga­ni­za­tions. The pres­i­dent will also hold bi­lat­eral talks with lead­ers of var­i­ous coun­tries. Xi will at­tend and ad­dress an in­for­mal meet­ing with other lead­ers of the BRICS coun­tries.


Xi will meet re­porters and high­light the achieve­ments made.

Who will at­tend?

Lead­ers from around the world will meet in Hangzhou for the 11th G20 Sum­mit, which will have­more de­vel­op­ing coun­tries in at­ten­dance than any pre­vi­ous meet­ing.
