China is our second largest market outside of the United States. We have been able to grow our business in China significantly over the last few years, scaling it to close to 4,000 employees today and serving thousands of customers across the nation. Our focus in China has been to serve our customers in fields like pharma, healthcare, environmental and food safety, and we continue to foresee strong opportunities in these segments going forward. At the same time we believe that market needs are changing and our capability to capture this growth will rely on more “in China for China” innovation. This brings us closer to our customers as we continue to invest in our local R&D capabilities, having more than 100 scientists today, focused on “in China for China” innovation projects.
