Govt initiates car-free Sundays

Brunei government will implement an unprecedented “car-free day” Sundays initiave starting Oct 2. In a statement, the Municipal Department said roads in Bandar Seri Begawan will be closed from 6 amto 10 am every Sunday to allow small vendors to do business, reduce carbon footprint and encourage healthy living. Some roads will be closed to give space for cycling and running activities from Oct 2.
