Projects cho­sen for sus­tain­abil­ity awards

A to­tal of 79 projects have been se­lected out of more than 360 en­tries from all over China for the 2016 Ak­zoNo­bel China Stu­dent Sus­tain­abil­ity Award. The spe­cial award, which is spon­sored by Ak­zoNo­bel Pow­der Coat­ings, has also reached the fi­nal stage of se­lec­tion, the com­pany said on Tues­day. The China Stu­dent Sus­tain­abil­ity Award, un­der the guid­ance of the School Depart­ment of the Cen­tral Com­mit­tee of the Com­mu­nist Youth League of China, is the first award in China to rec­og­nize univer­sity stu­dent groups’ con­tri­bu­tions to com­mu­ni­ties. Since its launch in 2011, it has re­ceived more than 1,400 en­tries from more than 1,000 stu­dent groups at as many as 220 uni­ver­si­ties in 88 cities, in­volv­ing more than 15 mil­lion peo­ple across the coun­try.
