Driver refused to give sample

-

A drunken driver in Jinan attempted to beat a device designed to test blood alcohol levels, by not blowing into it correctly 29 times. The man was stopped by traffic police during a routine check on the afternoon of Oct 12, but repeatedly failed to give an adequate breath sample for analysis. On his 30th attempt, officers warned him that they would take him to hospital for a blood test if he did not cooperate. After giving a breath sample, it was found that the driver was almost seven times over the legal limit, with 134 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
