Consumers warned off preserved fruits

-

A fruit expert has warned consumers to avoid kiwifruits that have been exposed to “excessive” amounts of preservatives. Sun Fei, a doctoral degree holder at the Jinan Institute of Fruits, told local media that kiwifruits can become very hard when exposed to large amounts of the chemicals and he urged locals to carefully select their fruit when shopping. Sun made his remarks in response to recent statements from a number of local growers, promising consumers kiwifruit that will not rot for up to four months. DZWWW.COM
