Man pays off his debt decades later

A man spent decades trying to repay a small debt to an old friend. For more than 50 years, the man, in Leshan, traveled to dozens of places in the province to pay back 20 yuan ($3) he owed the friend. Tong Yuguang, now in his 80s, borrowed the money from the friend when he ran out of money during a trip in 1959. Tong promised to pay back the money because the sum was half of his friend’s monthly salary 58 years ago. However, when Tong wired 20 yuan a year later to his friend the money was returned to him because his friend no longer lived in the same place. Tong then embarked on his quest and repaid the money.
