Water released for rafting floods car

A man who parked his car in a shallow river saw his vehicle flooded by water discharged from the upper reaches of the river in Shanxian county during a white-water rafting event this month. A Xi’an resident, surnamed Wang, and two of his friends drove to a scenic spot to go white-water rafting, but were told all tickets were sold out. Wang then drove his car to a shallow river at the end of the rafting route, 8 kilometers away from the starting point, to wash his vehicle. Wang said he was unaware water from the upper reaches would be discharged for rafting, adding that he would have to spend a large amount of money on repairing his imported car.
