Capital closes 893 kindergartens

Beijing closed 893 unlicensed kindergartens in 2017, according to a report by the capital’s Education Commission. The report, released on Tuesday, also listed kindergartens that are under construction or planned to expand. By the end of the year, 22 kindergartens are going to be built, rebuilt or expanded, which could offer more than 12,000 spots for children in the capital.
