Man sobers up to save handset

A woman, surnamed Zhang, has been detained in Shenzhen for colluding with a female friend, surnamed Zhong, to steal her former boyfriend’s high-end mobile phone. Zhong, 19, invited Zhang’s ex-lover, surnamed Yang, 25, to a bar and brought him to a hotel after Yang was inebriated. Zhong then stole Yang’s phone when he was asleep and gave it to Zhang. But the pair were detained when Yang woke up and sought police help. Zhang said she just wanted to get back the phone that she had earlier bought for Yang.
