Mismatches lead to major refund

- GUANGZHOU DAILY

A matchmaking firm was ordered to refund 21,000 yuan ($3,320) to a woman, surnamed Huang, when she complained about the quality of the men introduced to her in Guangzhou. Huang, 39, a white-collar worker, paid 300,000 yuan to become a diamond card member, with the company promising to introduce her to at least six high-quality men within six months in 2016. But Huang expressed dissatisfaction with the four male candidates she met from September to November. Huang then went to court when the company refused to refund her money. The court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, ordering the company to refund the remaining service fees to Huang.
