Beauty card costs woman pretty penny
A woman, surnamed Gu, who was duped into adding more than 1.4 million yuan ($218,750) to her beauty parlor card, has been compensated after media publicity in Wuhan. Gu said she was shocked when she found she had been fooled into putting such an exorbitant sum into the card in a single year. Gu sought help from local media and consumer protection authorities. The beauty parlor even charged Gu more than 190,000 yuan for an hour’s service. Gu was eventually refunded an agreed sum.
