Want Want flood relief in Jiangsu

Want Want Group donated relief supplies worth 4.57 million yuan ($686,000) to this summer’s flood-struck area in Jiangsu province, through distribution to the Red Cross Society of Jiangsu province. Extreme weather posed threats to lives and caused property damage to scattered areas throughout Jiangsu. Li Weihua, deputy director of Taiwan Affairs Office in Jiangsu province, said the charitable acts of Want Want Group showed the mainland and Taiwan belonged together as one family. A spokesman for Want Want Group called for more companies and people to engage in charities.
