Patient accused to use donations to buy car

- CQNEWS.NET

Wang Hao, a 24-year-old uremia patient, found himself in hot water after posting photos of his new sports utility vehicle on his social media account earlier this month. Citing being diagnosed with uremia in May, Wang set up a public donation account online in June and received more than 87,000 yuan ($13,040) from 1,674 donors. A friend of Wang, surnamed Zhuang, who donated 300 yuan, discovered that Wang purchased a new car worth more than 11,000 yuan earlier this month and questioned him over the use of donated funds. Wang said he bought the car with loans from family members to use as a taxi in order to raise his family, adding that the donated funds were used for treatment of his condition.
