Anlong hosts top climbers

The international invitational tournament and the Anlong stop of the China national sport climbing series ended over the weekend at the international sport climbing park in Anlong county, Guizhou province.

The high-level two-day competition attracted 42 athletes from New Zealand, England, Poland, Romania and host China to compete both on man-made and natural cliffs.

Sport climbing is gaining popularity after the International Olympic Committee made the sport an official Olympic medal event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics during last month’s Rio Olympic Games.
