Province elect stop law maker, governor
Liu Cigui, who became Party chief of Hainan in April, was elected on Friday as director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, during the sixth session of the fifth provincial people’s congress, the local legislative body. The 62-yearold is a former head of the State Oceanic Administration. At the same session, Shen Xiaoming was elected governor of the island province. Born in 1963, he once served as vice-minister of education before he was transferred to Hainan as deputy Party head of the province in March 2017.
