Ruling upheld on vaccine fraud case

-

A court in Shandong province on Friday rejected the appeals of two women who were previously sentenced to 15 years and six years in prison for illegally trading vaccines. The Shandong High People’s Court upheld the ruling handed down by the Jinan Intermediate People’s Court in January. The courts found that Pang Hongwei improperly stored the vaccines she bought and earned nearly 75 million yuan ($10.9 million) in sales, while Sun Qi, her daughter, assisted her in more than half of these sales.
