High turnout in presidential vote

-

Iranians voted on Friday in the country’s first presidential election since its nuclear deal with world powers. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei cast the election’s first vote and called on Iranians to turn out in huge numbers for the poll. More than 60,000 ballot boxes have been prepared nationwide to receive votes. Some 56 million Iranians are eligible for voting, and will choose the next president for a four-year term from four candidates.
